At Stonebridge Golf Club, we strive to provide a safe, respectful, and enjoyable golf experience for everyone — whether you’re a public guest, a club member, a tournament participant, or simply enjoying a casual round. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior while on the course and on our property.
1. Respect for Others
- Treat all players, staff, volunteers, and fellow guests with courtesy and respect.
- Abuse, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
- Be patient with players of all skill levels and promote a supportive atmosphere.
2. Tee Time & Booking Courtesy
- Arrive early for your scheduled tee time to ensure smooth play.
- Cancellations or changes to group size should be communicated in advance.
- No-shows or unannounced reductions in players may be subject to a charge in accordance with our posted policies.
- Members and public players are expected to share the tee sheet in a fair and respectful manner.
- Daily play will cease at the posted sundown time to ensure the safety of staff, golfers, and homeowners adjacent to the course. Course closing times are determined by sunset, extreme weather conditions, or when the final group has completed their round — whichever occurs first. While play and cart rentals are permitted if a round can reasonably be completed before sundown, all players are strongly encouraged to finish their rounds and vacate the course before dark to prevent accidents or injuries.
3. Pace of Play
- Maintain a reasonable pace of play (generally 4 hours for 18 holes).
- Keep up with the group in front and allow faster groups to play through when appropriate.
- Be ready to play when it’s your turn.
- Follow marshal or starter instructions to help manage flow.
- Non-golfers, caddies, observers and walkers are not permitted on the golf course. All people entering the golf course must pay a green fee.
4. Golf Etiquette
- Repair all divots, ball marks, and bunkers after use.
- Use golf carts responsibly and observe all cart path rules and restrictions, especially in wet or sensitive areas.
- Only course-owned power carts are permitted on the golf course. Personal motorized vehicles such as scooters, bikes, and personal power carts are not allowed. However, power caddy-style push carts are welcome.
- Golf carts are not permitted to leave golf course property. Driving on city streets will result in a permanent ban from the club.
- Avoid damage to the course or greens — no practicing on the golf course or excessive wear near tee boxes or pins.
- Follow all posted signs and local rules.
- Fivesomes are not permitted at any time.
- Golfers assume all responsibility for damage or personal injury from golf balls landing outside the boundaries of Stonebridge Golf Club. Aim your shots accordingly. Please yell "FORE" to alert homeowners of wayward golf balls.
5. Dress Code & Personal Appearance
- Golfers must wear appropriate golf attire as posted on our website: https://www.stonebridgegc.com/dress-code.html
6. Alcohol & Conduct
- Alcohol may only be consumed if purchased through the clubhouse, snack shack, or beverage cart (as per licensing regulations).
- Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Any outside alcohol will be disposed of immediately and may result in removal from the property.
- Underage drinking will not be tolerated under any circumstances and may result in suspension of privileges or permanent removal from the premises.
- Alcohol consumption is permitted only in designated areas. Tailgating and the consumption of alcohol in the parking lot are strictly prohibited.
- Anyone found to be intoxicated or behaving inappropriately will be asked to leave immediately.
7. Use of Facilities
- Treat all clubhouse, patio, and course facilities with care and consideration.
- Follow posted rules in all common areas, including the patio and parking lot.
- Smoking/vaping is only allowed in designated areas.
8. Members’ Expectations
- Members are expected to lead by example and uphold this Code in all interactions.
- Abuse of booking privileges, repeated pace-of-play issues, or poor conduct will be addressed in accordance with the club's disciplinary policies.
- Members are ambassadors of the club and play a key role in fostering a positive golf culture.
9. Reporting Concerns
- Concerns about behavior or violations of this Code may be reported to club management or staff.
- All reports will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, confidentially.
10. Enforcement
- Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Suspension of playing privileges
- Removal from the course or clubhouse
- Termination of membership or banning from future play
We appreciate your cooperation in helping make Stonebridge Golf Club a respectful and enjoyable place for all.
