As a Prep Cook at Stonebridge Golf Club, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with meal preparation for both our bistro and banquet events. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are made to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications and chef instructions.
- Ensure all prep work is done in a timely and organized manner to support kitchen operations during service.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and prepping sauces.
- Organize and store ingredients, ensuring proper labeling and rotation to minimize waste.
- Maintain inventory levels and notify the kitchen manager when stock is running low.
- Assist in the preparation of mise en place for daily and special event menus.
- Help clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations throughout the day.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation, and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing needs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
