PRO SHOP ASSISTANT

​Job Description
The Pro Shop Assistant performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
​
  • Providing excellent customer service, ensuring friendly and efficient service, recognizing regular customers and Members
  • Carry out opening and closing duties for the Pro Shop
  • Tee time booking and management
  • Ensures proper POS entry of customers, gathering appropriate information and entering information to ensure consistency of information within the system
  • Cleaning and restocking the Pro Shop
  • Monitoring and dealing with service issues on the golf course
  • Collaborate with Course Marshals and Back Shop staff to ensure excellent overall service levels
  • Performing cash/card transactions with attention to detail and accuracy regarding customer orders and cash balancing
  • Ability to manage and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to manage and work effectively with little supervision

Qualifications:
Computer and/or POS system knowledge
Punctual and professional attitude
Customer service oriented
Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset but not required.
Minimum G1 driver's license is required.​

Job Duration and Salary:
This a seasonal part-time position with an hourly wage that will be based on experience and qualifications. Applicants must be available to work the duration of April – October (inclusive).

GROUNDS CREW

Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following tasks on any given day:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures
  • String trimming and push mowing
  • Raking and shoveling
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand watering
  • Driving small golf course equipment i.e. carts
  • Mowing Greens
 
Qualifications

Punctual and professional attitude
Ability to work outside for the majority of your shift
Previous golf course or landscaping experience is an asset
​Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset but definitely not required.
Minimum G1 driver's license is required.

​Job Duration and Salary:
This a seasonal fulltime position with an hourly wage that will be based on experience and qualifications.

BACK SHOP ATTENDANT

​Job Description
The Backshop Attendant performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
​
  • Providing excellent customer service, ensuring friendly and efficient service, recognizing regular customers and Members
  • Carry out opening and closing duties for the back shop
  • Responsible for providing clean, gassed, and stocked power carts for golfers
  • Regular cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking of on-course washroom facilities
  • Ensuring club rentals are cleaned and counted for daily use
  • Assist golfers with clubs at bag drop
  • Collaborate with Pro Shop staff and Course Marshals to ensure excellent overall service levels
  • Ability to manage and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to manage and work effectively with little supervision

Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills
Punctual and professional attitude
Ability to work outside for most of your shift
Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset but definitely not required.
Minimum G1 driver's license is required.

COURSE MARSHAL

​We are always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to join our team!
Course Marshals are the front line of operation. If you possess a positive and professional attitude topped off with a smile we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities include:
  • Offer consistent, professional, engaging and friendly customer service
  • Maintain cohesive communication with other areas of the golf operation
  • Provide course information and fantastic customer experiences as guests start their round on the first tee
  • Maintain and organized tee sheet
  • Assist guests in maintaining a proper pace of play
  • Assist with tournament set up, organization, and tear down
  • Enforce the rules, regulations, policies and procedures established by Stonebridge Golf Club
  • Perform light golf maintenance duties such as sand and seeding course divots and repairing ball marks
  • Continually search for ways in which customer service and efficiency within the company can be improved

Qualifications:
  • Outstanding communication and guest service skills
  • Outgoing, energetic, and enjoys working in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Ability to focus attention on guests needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Able to spend up to 8 hours outside for each shift
  • Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset
